IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION - Beginning in February 2015, Access’ new standard Access Rider ID/TAP cards will no longer be VISA® branded.
You may continue to use your current Access Rider ID/TAP card for your Access benefits until your current Access eligibility has expired and is renewed. You may also continue to use your current card’s prepaid functionality if you activated the VISA® prepaid debit feature BEFORE March 1, 2015.
After February 2015, when your current Access eligibility expires and is renewed OR if your card is lost or stolen, you will receive the new standard Access Rider ID/TAP card.
If you previously activated the VISA® debit feature and have a balance, you will also receive a separate ReadyCARD VISA® Prepaid Card and any remaining funds will be transferred to it. Each card will be mailed to you separately.
Both the current Access Rider ID/TAP card with the VISA® and the new standard card will be accepted as valid identification on Access vehicles through the Expiration Date (ELIG THRU) printed on the card. They both also will be accepted as valid fare media for the Free Fare Program through the Expiration Date (ELIG THRU) printed on the card.

Access is a partner in TAP, Los Angeles County's fare collection system. This allows us to improve your riding experience not only on Access but also when you use your Rider ID Card on participating Free Fare bus and rail systems.
Access has also partnered with ReadyCARD to add the functionality of a prepaid Visa® to your card. If you choose to load money on your card, you'll also be able to use it to pay for a ride instead of using tokens or coupons, pay at your favorite stores, shop online or over-the-phone, or pay bills without money orders.
Access TAP ReadyCARD Visa® Prepaid Card is issued by MetaBank™ pursuant to a license from Visa U.S.A. Inc.
