COVID-19 Updates

Beginning February 22, 2021, Access riders can book next-day trips to COVID-19 vaccination appointments at approved drive-thru vaccination sites. Please call (626) 532-1616, select your preferred language, and then select option 2 to make a reservation. Reservations can be made daily between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm.

Make sure you have an appointment to be vaccinated before booking a drive-thru trip. Visit for more information about when and where you can be vaccinated. Access riders without computer access can also call (833) 540-0473 to make a vaccination appointment. Drive-thru vaccination trips should only be booked to an approved location and are limited to pick-up locations within 20 miles of the vaccination site. Regular fare applies for vaccination trips.

If you book an Access trip to a drive-thru vaccination, you will not need to get out of the vehicle to get your vaccination.  The same vehicle and driver will be with you for the entire trip, and enough time will be built into the schedule for the post-vaccination observation period.  After the observation period, the same driver will complete the return trip.

Same Day Service
During the pandemic, Access is offering same day service for trips to: non-emergency medical/dental appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies or drug stores, the bank, phone stores and Los Angeles County Cooling Stations on hot days. Please note that same day service is only available for the duration of the emergency. The fare for a same day trip will be the same as a next day trip. Riders are limited to one same day, round trip per day and no more than two same day round trips per week. To request a same day trip, tell your reservationist that you want to ride today.

Same Day Curbside Service
Access now offers Same Day Curbside Service, subject to special restrictions. The driver will attempt to park at locations designated for curbside pickup. If no such location is present, the driver will park as close and safe to the entrance as possible. Rider should remain in the vehicle. Driver cannot proceed through a drive through line. Rider should pay for items prior to trip.  If payment has not been completed prior to trip, driver cannot assist with payment. Items must be brought to the vehicle without the driver or yourself leaving the vehicle. Rider may bring a personal shopping bag for purchases if preferred. The driver will not get within six feet of the employees at the business unless the employee is wearing a face covering. Curbside pickup location must be within 10 miles of your pickup address. Return trip will be scheduled for 45 minutes after projected arrival, but driver can and will leave sooner to return if transaction is completed. Fare will be charged for each leg of the trip, going to and from the business. Same driver will return rider to the pickup location in the same vehicle. Rider should call their curbside service vendor and arrange the pick-up time once they have a trip scheduled with Access. It is recommended to book the curbside time with the vendor considering distance and Access pick up time.   If rider has any questions beyond this, rider should contact Customer Service.

Face Coverings
Face coverings are required on Access.  If a rider cannot comply with this requirement, they are encouraged to call Customer Service at (800) 827-0829.

Taking a Trip on Access
To ensure the health and safety of our employees and riders, we are asking that you DO NOT schedule a trip using Access if you are sick, have been confirmed to have COVID-19, or are going to a facility to be tested for COVID-19. Riders are encouraged to follow the Los Angeles County Safer at Home Emergency Order. If you must travel, please follow these guidelines:

• Do not use Access if you are sick
• Cover your coughs and sneezes
• Wash hands frequently with soap and warm water, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

Access has taken other proactive steps to prevent COVID-19, including no shared rides and disinfecting each vehicle at least twice per day.

Meal Delivery Programs
Access has also partnered with a number of agencies to provide meal delivery services. Please review the information below to see if one of these programs are applicable to your situation.

1. City of Los Angeles Department of Aging
Meal service will be prioritized for seniors who are experiencing food insecurity, including financial hardship. Visit or call 213.482.7252.

2. Jewish Family Services of Los Angeles
Provides meals and groceries for people with disabilities. Visit or call 323.937.5843 for Meals, or call 818.988.7682 for Groceries.

3. I Did Something Good Today Foundation (IDSGT)
Provides paper products and other resources to seniors that may be isolated and unable to obtain supplies on their own. Visit or call 888.604.6533.

4. Food To Life
Program prepares and delivers nutritious meals every week to improve the lives of our  military veterans. Visit or call 949.215.9995.
